SMBC Aviation Capital places new Boeing 737-800 with new customer Solaseed Air

Monday, 3rd July 2017: SMBC Aviation Capital, one of the world’s leading aircraft leasing companies, has today confirmed the placement of a new Boeing 737-800 with Japanese carrier Solaseed Air.

This follows SMBC Aviation Capital’s earlier announcement in April 2017 that it had purchased three Boeing 737-800s. All three aircraft will be powered with CFM engines.

“This is an exciting announcement as it is our first aircraft placement with Solaseed Air and we look forward to developing our relationship with them.

The Boeing 737-800 is an aircraft for which we have seen significant demand from our customer base, who view the aircraft as a modern and efficient addition to their fleet.”

SMBC Aviation Capital’s owned, managed and committed portfolio of B737-800 aircraft stands at 199. In addition to its portfolio of B737-800s, SMBC Aviation Capital has an order book of 90 737 MAX 8s, with the first delivery scheduled in 2018.
